As well as being your elected Wiltshire Councillor for Amesbury West, I have also had the honour of serving as Deputy Mayor in 2024, Mayor of Amesbury in 2023, and Deputy Mayor again in 2022. Throughout my various roles serving Amesbury West residents, I have worked closely with the police and other essential services to ensure the welfare of our community from road safety to mental health.
I played a key role in the strategic improvement of our Town Centre through the Wiltshire Towns Fund. Among my proudest achievements was the opening of the King Charles Sensory Garden, the launch of a new website for the Town Council, and the initiation of the Wiltshire Towns Survey to strategically address the needs of our town. As the lead for Mental Health & Wellbeing on the Stonehenge Area Board, I regularly organise Coffee Mornings and Musical Concerts for older people and vulnerable adults. These events foster community connection and support. I also hosted a Coffee Morning at Stonehenge School, providing children with a platform to engage with adults. I also organised a Rewards and Recognition Night to honour the unsung heroes of our community.
As I prepare to stand for re-election in 2025, I am committed to representing your views, sharing updates on our progress, and listening to your concerns. My door is always open, and you’re welcome to reach out at monicaforamesbury@gmail.com

On 2/11/2023, I have raised the concerns that residents have voiced about the difficulties they are experiencing due to the limitations of the current pharmacies in Amesbury at the Health Select Committee Meeting at County Hall today. I will continue to advocate for the residents of Amesbury and work in partnership with the relevant authorities to actively seek out a resolution to this problem. On 4/01/2024, BBC has covered this news in the media. #residentsfirst #amesbury

I am absolutely delighted to announce my appointment as the Patron for the Amesbury Men’s Shed, a remarkable initiative dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being.
This initiative provides a supportive environment where men and women can gather, share experiences, and engage in meaningful activities that foster community, friendship, and personal growth.
As we navigate the complexities of modern life, the importance of mental health cannot be overstated.
The Amesbury Men’s Shed embodies the spirit of camaraderie and connection, offering a safe space for men and women to discuss their challenges, celebrate their successes, and support one another in addition to woodwork and other activities.

The service was filled with beautiful readings and carols, perfectly capturing the spirit of the Christmas season.
The service was conducted by The Reverend Roger Grafton GF Chaplain 14th Regiment Royal Artillery.
It was lovely to meet the Lord Lieutenant Mrs Sarah Troughton.
I am incredibly humbled and honoured to have the privilege of meeting and dining with Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones, and representing Our Historic Amesbury at the august gathering during His Majesty's Government Celebrations.
